We met on that Thursday for a preliminary date, just talk a bit. It was 10pm though, after he got off work, so we had to drive to Nishi Funabashi to find a place that was open. We talked a bit and he seemed to like me, said I was really cute and resemble old-style Japanese ladies. ^^ He also made me explain why I asked him out, which was embarrassing. lol
Saturday was the "real" date. His parents picked me up and took me way up north, and the talking on the way went pretty well. His mom came to Japan 32 years ago with NO Japanese, so they're impressed with my skillz, not annoyed. I met his siblings then, had a tour of the house, then the parents took us for a fancy lunch. His mom tried to make me eat SO much! @__@ I have such little appetite usually. But she means well. And Masayoshi was observant and knew to help me fend off the over-feeding.
Then the two of us headed out for the evening. We were going to a major mall, but had a flat tire! He was embarrassed, but I didn't mind at all. It made it more adventurous! Then we headed out for a loooong time and got to Chiba New Town. Did purikuri (Which I'm told is a major relationship step. lol) and then saw Transformers. Not my kind of movie, but I enjoyed myself a lot. Then we ate at Denny's. XD
Got to know more about him through the whole time, I did my darndest to make full use of my language skills, and he was very patient. I even asked him if I could use short form (For those familiar to you or "beneath" you only!) and he laughed and said, "Of course, we know each other now!" It's hard for me to use, so I'm glad for practice. He also started calling me "Hana-chan" and using ore instead of watashi (Both roughly mean "I".) That and singing along with B'z in the car (He likes too!) just made me pretty melty.
We are to do something together again my last day here. I was scared maybe he was loosing interest, but he seemed so happy to see me in 7-11 today. ^^ He also asked for some US contact info. I figure I will try giving staying in contact a shot, but I want him to be open to other girls. Also need to tell him of Skype. XD
Figure things will not work out, but who knows? I won't let myself fall in love anytime soon, though. I know better than that. Right now I'm just really excited 'cause I really do like this guy. I'm just conflicted, he is REALLY great so far. But it's been only a few weeks since I've been ready for any sort of dating and I'm leaving so soon. Otherwise I'd be all over keeping dating. We'll see how it goes and I'll try not to get too weird and also not hurt him, either.
Daaaaaaaamn, is he hot by the way. At least in my opinion. XD
Sorry, like I said, I'm excited.

"I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored."-Wayne's World
The date sounded like lots of fun. I can imagine how nervous you'd be at first going to meet his family!! I'd be sooo freaking out thinking "please let me make a good impression! Please!!" haha
He seems very sweet, fun, and respectful.
Yeah, I'm really glad I did that. He's really nice person. Really not sure if staying in touch will work for long, but that's ok. It's hard enough to do when both people speak same language! So I won't take offense. But I'm sort of doofy over him at the moment, so staying in touch sounds awfully nice. lol
